PROJECT TYPE

Full e-commerce application prototype

Nueve fashion storefront with an editorial hero and collection call to action

The overview

Nueve is a full e-commerce application prototype built as a standalone React storefront. It covers the customer journey from collection discovery and product configuration through a persistent shopping bag, demo checkout, profile, and order history.

The problem

A fashion storefront must make a large catalog easy to explore while keeping product choices, pricing, promotions, and checkout state consistent across the journey. Nueve brings those interactions together in one responsive application.

The objectives

  • Create clear paths from editorial discovery to individual products.
  • Support product search, filters, sorting, variants, and quantities.
  • Preserve cart and customer state across browser sessions.
  • Demonstrate promotions, checkout, order confirmation, and account flows.

How it comes together

01

Catalog discovery

Audience and collection navigation work alongside search, price ranges, and sorting so shoppers can move quickly from a broad catalog to relevant products.

02

Product configuration

Product pages combine an image gallery with size, color, and quantity controls, carrying each selected configuration into the shopping bag.

03

Commerce state and promotions

Browser persistence keeps carts, profiles, orders, newsletter signups, and contact submissions available between visits. Cart logic supports quantity changes, removals, NUEVE10 discounts, and an automatic Buy 3 Get 1 Free promotion.

04

Checkout and customer journey

The prototype includes checkout, confirmation, profile, and order-history screens, plus FAQ, shipping information, newsletter, contact, social links, and mobile navigation.

Technical decisions

  • Vite keeps the React development and production build lightweight.
  • Reusable application state connects catalog, cart, checkout, and account experiences.
  • Local Storage provides durable demo data without requiring credentials or hosted services.
  • The interface is structured so production APIs for authentication, inventory, payments, shipping, and email can replace browser persistence.

The outcome

What the work delivers

  • A deployed, responsive storefront covering the complete demo purchase journey.
  • A searchable and filterable catalog with configurable product details.
  • Persistent cart, discounts, promotional pricing, checkout, and customer account demonstrations.
